Up until now, MOI has been the most important metric that
companies focused on to optimize club stability and
forgiveness. Cobra is the first company to talk about
a lesser-known metric called POI, which takes into account club rotation
across all three axes (MOI,Y (horizontal), MOI,X (vertical)
and MOI,Z (toe up or down)) that occurs during off-center strikes.
OPTM drivers are the first to optimize both
MOI and POI through strategic weight distribution
and shaping to create a super-driver – one that
drastically reduces gear effect and provides up to
23% tighter dispersion for longer and straighter
off-center hits.

Cobra took its strongest draw-biased driver and
equipped it with a heel-biased center of gravity and a lower POI to create

improved accuracy through maximum draw-bias

REDESIGNED FOR FORGIVENESS

To optimize MOI and POI, mass was distributed
more symmetrically around the center of gravity
and across the three main axes, and condensed around the center of gravity,
to minimize the club's diagonal resistance to
rotation. Using AI-driven simulation tools, Cobra engineers
studied millions of impact locations
to gain a profound understanding of the gear effect
and to determine the optimal position of the
metal/mass and movable weights in each model.

FutureFit33™ features 33 unique loft and lie settings
to optimize your ball flight, minimize mis-hits, and
maximize your distance. Loft and lie can be adjusted by
± 2 degrees in each direction, allowing for
ultimate fine-tuning of the fitting, while the
innovative SMARTPAD® design ensures the face angle
always remains square, regardless of the setting.

DRAW-BIAS TUNED WEIGHTING
The OPTM MAX-D driver features a fixed heel weight
(11g) that shifts the center of gravity closer to the hosel
to make it easier to launch the ball and facilitate face closure for a draw-biased ball flight.
