With their advanced expertise and understanding of club inertia, Cobra engineers maximized the moment of inertia (MOI) and a lesser known but crucial stability metric called POI to create our most forgiving and accurate LS model ever. THE FIRST FAIRWAY WOODS TO OPTIMIZE POI FOR STRAIGHTER MIS-HITS

Up until now, MOI has been the main metric companies have focused on to optimize the stability and
forgiveness of clubs. Cobra is the first to talk about a lesser known metric called POI, which accounts
for the rotation of the club around all three axes (horizontal, vertical, and diagonal twist that occurs
on off-center strikes). The OPTM fairways are the first to optimize both MOI and POI through strategic
weighting and shaping to create a super fairway wood – one that dramatically reduces gear effect and
delivers tighter dispersion for longer and straighter off-center hits.

REDESIGNED FOR FORGIVENESS
To optimize MOI and POI, mass was distributed more symmetrically across the three main axes and
densified around the center of gravity to minimize the diagonal twisting resistance of the club. Using AI-driven
simulation tools, Cobra engineers studied millions of impact locations to gain a profound understanding
of gear effect, and how to position the optimal metal/mass and adjustable
weights in each model.

TITANIUM CONSTRUCTION WITH TUNGSTEN
A multi-material construction combines a lightweight 8-1-1 titanium body and titanium face cup with a carbon crown
to optimize weight distribution and deliver driver-like distance. The use of titanium instead of steel creates
additional discretionary weight, allowing 37.5g of tungsten to be positioned deep and forward in the
heel and toe areas to optimize speed and forgiveness.
